Spirit of Abstractions: Studies of the Body Hand-building Workshop with Raja Maupin 

In this workshop, students will explore body form through abstraction, creating mini ceramic sculptures using hand-building techniques.

This session will begin with a demonstration of coil-building, followed by guided instruction inspired by Raja Maupin's approach to interpreting the human body through gesture, curve, and form. Participants will be encourage to distill the body into it's essential shapes, exploring balance and emotional presence in clay.

Open to all experience levels. All materials provided. Finished sculptures will be kiln-fired and glazed available for pickup at a later date.
